As we open the 2020 Townie award applications, we are pleased to announce a major change in that there is now a two-year window for nominated projects, programs, and activities—January 1, 2018, through December 31, 2019. This expanded time provides more opportunities for communities to submit and we encourage you to do so.

We’ve also taken a closer look at requirements and criteria for the award categories so be sure to read the Townie Awards Guidelines (continues to be available as a downloadable PDF on PDC’s website) and the online application portal – Submittable.
Award categories remain the same however, as in the past, submission of one or more nominations in a category does not mean that an award will be granted in the category.
For those new to the “Townie Awards” – here it is in a nutshell:
Annually PDC recognizes exemplary projects, programs and events created and implemented in the core communities throughout the commonwealth. Eligible communities represent Pennsylvania Downtown Center’s nearly 200 member organizations including Main Street and Elm Street programs and makes the Townies a competitive award process each year.
SUBMISSIONS DUE FRIDAY, February 7, 2020
Submit online or download the complete guide with checklists.
